The FAFSA is used to determine eligibility for federal grant and loan assistance. We suggest that you choose the IRS Data Retrieval Tool (DRT) when filing your FAFSA. Using the DRT is efficient and reduces errors.

CSS Profile
The Profile is used to determine eligibility for need-based, institutional financial aid. (If you are applying for federal aid only, you do not need to file the Profile.)

If your biological or adoptive parents are separated, divorced or were never married and do not live together, each of your parents must complete a CSS Profile.

Federal tax forms and verification documents

Federal tax returns, or non-tax filer statements, and federal W2 forms are required from all current students and their parent(s). Federal tax returns or non-tax filer statements should be uploaded to IDOC — the College Board’s imaging service. If your FAFSA is selected for verification by the Department of Education, additional forms such as the Verification Worksheet will be required and should also be uploaded to IDOC.

Do not email or fax tax documents or documents containing Social Security numbers to our office. Documents should be uploaded to IDOC.
