Will J. Millard

Will Millard is the author of several scientific articles. He has also presented his work in conferences around the world and has been invited to address numerous groups.

Millard's interests lie at the intersection of psychology and neuroscience and behavior. Currently, he is investigating the effects of neuroactive drugs on behavior, specifically the chemicals that cause or allay anxiety. Millard teaches courses that demonstrate his own psychological and behavioral interests: he offers an intermediate-level course, Biological Bases of Behavior; a senior-level, lab-intensive course, Behavioral Neuroscience; and a senior-seminar psychology course, Of Madness and Molecules: Seminar in Neuropsychopharmacology, which examines chemicals that have been widely used in treating mental illnesses.

In addition to teaching, Millard has been a consultant to the National Science Foundation, a recurring member of the Ford Foundation Fellowships Review Panel, a director of the Faculty for Undergraduate Neuroscience, and an editorial consultant to several journals. He is also a fellow of the American Psychological Society and Faculty for Undergraduate Neuroscience.
