Danielle Lund began her career as a history and special education teacher at an all women's public school in the Bronx, New York, where she worked with middle and high school students from 2007 to 2010. Following her time in the city, she pursued her passion for wilderness exploration with a year spent through-hiking and volunteering on the Appalachian Trail. Upon return to her hometown of Holyoke, Massachusetts, in 2011, she started as an assistant at the Alumnae Association, where her role has evolved to director of engagement.
Lund has served in a number of capacities, including coordination of major on and off campus functions, leading the organization's novel webinar program throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, supporting the launch of The Gates, managing professional and student staff and contributing to strategic planning and assessment. In addition to her professional portfolio at Mount Holyoke, she served as volunteer advisor to the Mount Holyoke College Outing Club from 2016 to 2019.
