Luisa Tavares began her career as a medical office manager for a doctor in western Massachusetts. From there, she shifted to become a small claims insurance adjuster for Commercial Union Insurance. After some time, she was hired by Robinson, Donovan, Madden & Barry, P.C., where she ultimately became the office and records manager and supervised office messengers and file clerks. Her accomplishments during this role were developing a file retention system, which included an electronic file tracking system, maintaining an updated office law library and coordinating a full office relocation. After eight years, Tavares joined the Alumnae Association in the role of executive and program assistant. Her role soon expanded to event registration and management.
In her spare time, Tavares enjoys taking her dog for walks, hiking the Green Mountains in Vermont and the White Mountains in New Hampshire, cooking and gardening.
