Michael Ofori

“My creative process is a simple one. For me, everything I do informs each other,” said Michael Ofori, visiting lecturer.

Michael Ofori teaches acting as well as various other courses in interdisciplinary arts and African theater and performance. As well as directing at Rooke Theatre, Michael enjoys drumming with the Five College West African Music Ensemble. He has performed with several regional theaters and international groups including The Front Porch Arts Collective, New Repertory Theatre, Company One Theatre, Azaguno Inc. and the Kumasi Center for National Culture (Ghana). His research and creative interests include actor training, contemporary trends in African theater and performance, transatlantic Black performance aesthetics, directing and experiments in interdisciplinary collaborations.
