Samantha Skynner

Sam Skynner is a stage designer, educator and researcher.

Sam has extensive teaching experience and has designed and instructed workshops for the Yale School of Art, The Center for Collaborative Arts and Media and Yale College. Sam was awarded a Beinecke Fellowship for her ongoing research project Technology, Experimentation and Theatrical Consciousness in the work of Mary Ellen Bute, conducting research at the Beinecke Library in New Haven and LACMA in Los Angeles.

Sam has been a part of design teams in various capacities for productions across Canada and the United States at venues such as the Metropolitan Opera, the Yale Repertory Theatre, South Coast Rep, the Goodman Theater, Dancemakers and more. Sam's projection design for Wish You Were Here at Yale Rep was nominated for a Connecticut Critics Choice award. Sam holds an MFA from the David Geffen School of Drama at Yale.
