Campus involvement/activities: College Democrats of Massachusetts, student liaison to the Department of Politics, and Harriet Newhall Fellow in the Office of Admission.
What are you most proud of accomplishing at MHC? I am very proud of the opportunities I have taken advantage of and the people I have met. My position as a Harriet Newhall Fellow allowed me to interview and communicate with prospective students and families to tell my unique Mount Holyoke story, one that was different from all of my colleagues.
Favorite course that you thought you might not like: A 300-level politics course that concentrated solely on political theorist Hannah Arendt, taught by the legendary professor Joan Cocks. At first, I was intimidated by the coursework and readings but I ended up loving the course and looked forward to class discussions.
Best takeaway from internship or research experiences: I have been fortunate to experience various internships ranging from one in a Congressional office in Washington, DC, to two summers at the headquarters of a world-renowned cruise line. Looking back, my experiences have all reiterated the importance of working hard and displaying integrity both inside and outside of the workplace.
Postgraduation plans: Shortly after graduation, I will return to the Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines headquarters in Florida to work in the government relations office. In the fall, I will be attending the Florida State University College of Law.
