Passion meets possibility
“I came to Mount Holyoke with a set idea of what I wanted to accomplish by graduation, but I was able to pursue many different paths to that goal.”
“A liberal arts education has provided me with the opportunity to explore so much. I came to Mount Holyoke with a set idea of what I wanted to accomplish by graduation, but I was able to pursue many different paths to that goal. I got to take classes that I never pictured myself in, and it was thanks to Mount Holyoke’s approach to finding your educational place.”
“I’m minoring in Latinx Studies, and the intro class that I took with Professor Vanessa Rosa my first year was my favorite. Professor Rosa had so much passion for the material. As a Hispanic person myself, getting an academic sense of my heritage was amazing. It was kind of an accidental minor because I just kept taking classes!”
Internships: I studied in Ireland for a semester and then had a summer internship as a legal assistant at the law offices of Larrea & Ortega in Miami.
Leadership: Student ambassador, Office of Admissions; belonging and equity liaison, Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
Member: Mock trial team, La Unidad and WMHC radio station
Career aspirations: I’m hoping to go to law school in a couple of years. The opportunities I’ve had, particularly with our pre-law advisor, have been wonderful. She’s connected me with alums and guided my journey to law school.
