SAW Center

The Speaking, Arguing, & Writing (SAW) Center is a place where students work together with skilled peer mentors to speak confidently, argue persuasively, and write with clarity.


The Science Center Microscopy Facility

The Science Center Microscopy Facility contains several electron microscopes and research-quality light microscopes. These microscopes and their ancillary equipment are open to all members of the college.


Senior Team

The Senior Team is specified in the Bylaws of the Board of Trustees and consists of the President, the Vice Presidents, and the Secretary of the College. The Cabinet and Senior Leadership Team work closely together on all institutional-level decisions.


Department of Sociology and Anthropology

The Department of Sociology and Anthropology oversees the program in Anthropology (exploring cultural contact, diffusion, transformation and resilience) and Sociology (the systematic study of social life and social transformation).


Department of Spanish, Latinx and Latin American Studies

The Department of Spanish, Latinx, Latin American Studies helps students understand the past, current state, and emerging realities of the cultures of Latin America, Spain, the Caribbean, and the Latina/o heritage populations within the United States.


Special (Self-Designed) Major

Students whose interests cross department lines in an area for which no interdisciplinary major exists may plan a special major incorporating work in two or more departments.


Staff Council

The Staff Council functions as the voice of the staff to the president and other College administrators by establishing avenues for addressing employee issues and concerns.
