Departments, Offices and Centers

The Mount Holyoke College Board of Trustees oversees the property, business, and affairs of the College.

The Botanic Garden’s diverse and dynamic living collection includes more than 2,000 different types of plants from six continents distributed throughout the greenhouses and outdoor gardens.

The locally owned independent Odyssey Bookshop is the official home of the Mount Holyoke College Campus Store — the destination for College merchandise. They also sell art supplies & often co-host events with student organizations, faculty & departments.

The Career Development Center helps students explore interests, refine a path, chart a course and gain practical experience. We facilitate connections between students and employers, alums and others to create opportunities to engage and build networks.

We seek to attract individuals who are committed to the College’s historic legacy of leadership in the education of women and in preparing students for purposeful engagement in the world.

The Cashier accepts payments to the College in the form of cash, check or money order.

The Department of Chemistry is among the best-funded small college science departments in the nation, with a correspondingly high output of top-quality publications and students prepared to enter graduate and other professional schools.

The Department of Classics and Italian oversees programs in ancient studies, classics, Italian, Greek and Latin.

The Commencement Committee organizes the annual Commencement ceremony.

Members of the committee on fellowships meet with and supply feedback from applicants seeking MHC endorsement for select awards.
