Posse Scholars Program

About the Posse Scholars Program

Mount Holyoke College has proudly partnered with the Posse Foundation to welcome students from Miami, Florida who receive a full tuition scholarship. Students are selected based upon exceptional leadership potential and a demonstrated record of academic excellence. Posse Scholars are typically 10 students in each cohort who meet weekly with a mentor during their first two years of college.  The students also work with the Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and the Posse Miami Office to host a Posse Plus Retreat where they invite students, faculty and staff across campus to engage in deep dialogue about complex social issues. Posse Scholars are engaged in leadership activities across campus and go on after graduation to pursue careers, graduate degrees and make meaningful contributions to the world.

Mount Holyoke Posse Scholars demonstrate incredible leadership skills both within and outside of the classroom. They’ve created non-profit organizations, served as MoZone Peer Educators, DEI Fellows, Student Government Leaders, Resident Assistants and Cultural Center Assistants. They’ve won numerous awards and scholarships and been admitted to graduate programs and law schools at Harvard University, American University, George Washington University, Stanford University, the University of Michigan and the University of Louisville. They are attorneys, consultants, entrepreneurs, researchers, teachers and scientists across the country.
